My Life after I join the yoga classes

"Close your eyes… relax your mind and body.. now listen words of the Charles Swindoll.. " My yoga teacher was narrating us something after sets of assanas.

“ The longer we live the more we realize the impact of Attitude on life.
It has more important than education, than money, than circumstances, than failure, than success, than whatever anyone might think, say or do.

It is more important than appearances, gift ness or skill. It can make or break a company, home or relationship.

We can not change our past. We can not change the way people act. We can not change the inevitable.

The one thing we can change is the only thing we have control over, and that is our Attitude!!!

In the life 10% what acutely happens to us, and 90% how we react to it. “

I was at my daily Yoga Class and my yoga teacher Rekha aunt’s world were echoing into my mind. At that point my mind and soul were at the extreme level of peace. I was feeling peace within. Now a days I most of the time feel the same.

But my days were not same before 9 to 10 months ago. Living with 3 senior citizens and two kids is not easy for anybody in the world. I was also not exception!!! Recession has started to show off its colors in Indian economy that time. Our newly started business had also affected by the worst conditions of the world. Above all my PMS and Adenomyosis problem were killing me . Naturally my kids were the easily victim of the circumstances. But one day due to Almighty's miracle, i found my yoga teacher Rekha aunt.

I remembered very clearly our first meeting.. She took my hand into her hand and asked me lovingly..” Can you change people around you?? – I replied no I can not.. Can you change situation around you?? – I replied again no I can not.. She told me than change your attitude everything will be alright. I replied back to her it is not that easy teacher. She laughed.. no beta it is not easy but he ( almighty ) has decided this life for you and you have to accept his prasad gracefully. Don't fight with the situation .. simple sail with it.

Next day onward I started my yoga class. I have heard lots and lots about yoga and its benefits but not realized till I was into that. Within one month I was finding changes into myself. My Guru – Mrs. Rekha Bhandari was not only yoga teacher but she was/is friend, philosopher and guide for all her students.

Life in 10 months changes dramatically. No .. no .. not a single situation and surrounding have changed.. it might become worsen but its me who learnt to accept ,handle and ignore them.

Yoga classes at Rekha aunt’s place are never a burden of exercises. The one hour class is combination of aasans, pranayam –mediation, mind games and relaxing games. Its helps to search your capacities and capabilities.

Thank you aunt… I know thanks is too too small word for the same. Infect I would like to offer my pranam to all those yoga teachers who are changing life of so many people!!! We are aware of Baba Ramdev.. We know the work done by Shri shri Ravi shankarji, we know that there are so many yoga guru at Rishikesh but there are so many non famous/ hidden teachers in this country who are changing way of life of others. I salute all of them for their devotional work towards society.

Thanks again Rekha aunt … it is because of your motivation and inspiration I am able to create my own blog.

you are the chisel… you the sculptor.. and you the stone.. Life is what you make it!!” Rekha Aunt’s words have again started to echoing into the mind. I was gradually coming out of the trans effects of shava san. My daily yoga class was going to end soon.. but my day head was going to start brightly.

At last what I have learnt in these months..

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change…

the courage to change the things I can….
And wisdom to know the difference
!!!

  1. The leanings you shared about changing the people reminded me one incident which Smt. Sudha Murthy has written in 'Wise and Otherwise'. It is about the lesson which Buddha taught us centuries ago.

When we encounter thrones or stones on the path we walk we have apparently two choices - To cover entire earth with carpet or, the second one is, to simply wear a pair of footwear !

At the Akshardham temple Gandhinagar my favorite site is one person with Chisel and a Hammer in his hands carving himself. This image is indelibly depicted in my mind which also seconds what you have expressed - "...you are the chisel… you the sculptor.. and you the stone.. Life is what you make it..."

Kudos to Rekha Aunt for sharing this transformational teaching and due thanks to you for sharing that with all of us.
